Hatch was founded on 30 May 2023 to deliver the Innovation Centre capability for Singapore’s HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) to provide an accelerated pipeline of validated deep-tech start-up solutions. Since then, Hatch has created and delivered innovation programmes, end-user engagements and challenge scoping, and global ecosystem access for Singapore’s Home Team.
The Korean Institute of Police Technology (KIPoT) engaged Hatch for high potential Physical AI Korean start-ups. For the initial part of this collaboration, Hatch leveraged its networks in its South Korean hub to scout and curate a list of innovative Korean Physical AI start-ups. These start-ups were then invited to the Korea Police World Expo (KPEX) to meet with senior Korean public safety decision-makers.
Hatch hosts regular Spotlight Events around different emerging tech domains as part of ongoing efforts to cultivate Singapore’s public safety community. These Spotlights range from bio-inspired technologies to eVTOLs, and offer public safety stakeholders a primer in the context of Singapore’s public safety, and create opportunities to meet global start-ups behind these emerging technologies.
Our innovation approach is intentionally mission-driven: This enables us to focus our efforts on ideas and solutions that generate outcomes of greatest impact, and orients resources towards opportunities and collaborations in alignment to the North Star.
To create a seamless innovation pipeline from challenge to deployment, we align the needs of stakeholders on both fronts – challenge owners to define the boundaries within which the innovation initiatives take shape, and the necessary integration mechanisms to secure the longevity of successfully validated deep-tech start-up solutions.
Hatch delivers the innovation centre capability for HTX, acting as an essential bridge between Singapore’s public safety Home Team community and the global start-up innovation ecosystem. As part of this service, a suite of innovation programmes, tech scouting, insight reports, end-user engagements, and post-programme advisory were created to holistically cultivate HTX’s innovation capacity, and to see innovation streams to deployment.
